Robert McDuffie is a Macon native who has traveled the world as a lauded violin soloist, including a year-long stint in Rome, Italy, where he established a music festival.
But he says Macon is still his home.
He doesn't just mean it's where the heart is either. The McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University has kept its namesake coming back to his hometown.
With the school flourishing, drawing international attention, McDuffie plans to show his love of Macon in a free concert this Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Grand Opera House.
Details on the concert can be found at the website for the Grand Opera House - www.thegrandmacon.com/mcduffie/
