American Cheese Slices Under Recall

Jacksonville, Florida (WLTX) -- Southeastern Grocers is recalling some American Cheese slices sold at Bi-Lo and Harvey stores.

The 12-oz packages of Southern Home Fat Free American Singles are being recalled because the cheese may contain small pieces of plastic.

The product UPC code is 0788001319 and has sell-by dates of Aug. 16, 2015 through Nov. 16, 2015. BI-LO and Harveys stores have received no reports of any issues associated with consumption of this product at this time.

The cheese was sold at BI-LO stores throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, along with Harveys stores throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

Customers are urged not to consume the product and return it to the stores for a full refund.
