Burger King Cheetos Chicken Fries coming soon

Burger King is hoping on another wacky food mashup with the introduction of Cheetos Chicken Fries.

No, this is not a drill.

On Wednesday, Sept. 14, Cheetos Chicken Fries will be available to the masses at participating Burger King restaurants.

The cheese-dusted chicken sticks cost $2.89 for a nine-piece order, touted as “chicken on the inside, dangerously cheesy on the outside.”

In recent years, Burger King fans have seen a number of flavored chicken fries on the menu, ranging from Buffalo Chicken Fries to "fiery" flavored ones.

In 2015, the burger chain announced that its on-again, off-again Chicken Fries would remain on its permanent menu, becoming as safely ingrained in Burger King's lineup as the Whopper.

On social media, the reaction to the new chicken fries was mixed.

Is this why Americans are so fat?
