Myron Mixon's Original Dry Rub Recipe

Original Rub

• ¼ cup kosher salt
• ¼ cup white sugar
• ¼ cup paprika
• 3 tablespoons coarse ground pepper
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon onion powder
• ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Mustard Sauce Recipe

• 1 quart white vinegar
• 1 tablespoon black pepper
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 1 tablespoon ground red pepper
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 - 2oz containers of French's yellow mustard
• ½ cup ketchup

Add all ingredients except mustard and ketchup in a large sauce pan and bring to a simmer (about 20 mins). Then add mustard and ketchup and cook over low heat, stirring often to reduce to desired consistency.
