Make a Difference Day is the nation's largest day of volunteering! It is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of October. This year, it falls on October 27th and this might just be the biggest year yet!

At 13WMAZ, serving the Central Georgia community Straight from the Heart is in our DNA, so we're proud to be part of Make a Difference Day. Volunteer Macon and 13WMAZ are joining forces to Stack the (Book)shelves, encourage reading and make a difference for kids all across Central Georgia! And we want you to join us. For more than 20 years, USA WEEKEND Magazine has mobilized millions of people across this U.S. for this National Day of Doing Good. Together with its hundred of carrier newspapers, longstanding partner Points of Light and Newman's Own, it rallies millions in a single day to help change the communities in which they live. Now, we endeavor to make this program even stronger with all of Gannett – including 13WMAZ in the heart of Central Georgia – mobilizing across the country in support of this event.
