LUDOWICI, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia soldier's wife is due in court on charges that she helped her husband and his Army colleagues kill two people to cover up what prosecutors say was a terror plot hatched by a militia group.

Heather Salmon is charged with malice murder and other crimes in the December 2011 slayings of Michael York, a former soldier in her husband's unit, and his teenage girlfriend, Tiffany York. She was scheduled to appear before a Superior Court judge Thursday in Long County.

Prosecutors say Salmon's husband and another Fort Stewart soldier shot the young couple under orders from the leader of a militia group operating within the Army. Prosecutors say the group planned to bomb a park fountain in Savannah and poison apple crops in Washington state.
