Honolulu, HI - Actor Jim Nabors, who played Gomer Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show," has died.
The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ reported the news Thursday. Nabors was 87.
Pyle was known for his catchphrase "Gawwleee!" on Andy Griffith, where he played the lovable and goofy character.
He later headlined his own spinoff show, "Gomer Pyle, USMC," which followed his exploits after joining the U.S. Marines.
