3 hospitalized after accident in west Macon

A woman is in critical condition after a chain reaction accident early Wednesday.

Three people were hospitalized after an accident on Log Cabin Drive early Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from the Bibb Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Vareeka Baldwin was driving her 1994 Accord north on Log Cabin Drive around 12:15 a.m.

Witnesses told deputies that Baldwin swerved right and hit the guardrail near the bridge that crosses over Rocky Creek, causing her car to move into oncoming traffic.

Her car hit a 1997 Lexus, driven by 33-year-old Brent Davis, and a Nissan Altima, driven by 19-year-old Patrick Allison, then hit both cars.

Baldwin, her passenger Danielle Woods, and Davis were all taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health.

Woods is listed in critical condition. Baldwin and Davis are in stable condition.
