GHSA Postpones Warner Robins state championship game

Warner Robins will have to wait a week to play for the GHSA AAAAA state championship, as the game was postponed due to weather.

The Warner Robins Demons will have to wait a week to play for the GHSA AAAAA state championship after the game against the Rome Wolves was postponed due to worsening winter weather in Atlanta.

The game was scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday, but in a release, the GHSA said that the Class AAAAA game, along with the Class AAAAAA game, scheduled for 8 p.m. tonight, and the Class A Public game, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, have all been postponed.

In a tweet, Warner Robins Football said their state championship game will be played Friday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at McConnell-Talbert Stadium in Warner Robins.

The release said that the three games will be played next weekend, but the dates and times will be announced later.

Saturday's class AA, AAAA, and AAAAAAA games will be played as scheduled tomorrow.
