Jacolbey Owens drained a three point basket with one second left to lift Warner Robins to the GHSA 5A State Basketball Championship 67-64 over Miller Grove Thursday night at the Macon Centerplex. Owens game-winning shot broke a 64-all tie and lifted the Demons to the first basketball title in school history.
Owens basket was the only three pointer the Demons made the entire game. He led Warner Robins with 24 points. Nelson Phillips added 16 points and 10 rebounds while Jaydon Norman scored 13 for the Demons.
Warner Robins led 51-44 heading into the fourth quarter but Miller Grove battled back to tie the game at 64 before Owens made the shot Demon fans will never forget.
