The Twiggs County sheriff says they've charged a man and a woman from Ivey with operating a rolling meth lab in the back of a pickup.

In a news conference Tuesday, Sheriff Darren Mitchum says the bust came after a routine traffic stop around 5:15 p.m. Monday, on Highway 57 near Ridge Road.

He says deputies searched the 1983 Ford pickup after they thought the pair inside were acting strangely.

They found the meth lab in the toolbox in the back of the pickup, Mitchum says.

He says 26-year-old James Turner and 30-year-old Casie Adams are both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Chief Deputy Billy Boney said the pickup contained enough meth "to blow up a couple of houses."

A GBI lab was called to decontaminate the scene.

Mitchum says both are being held in the Twiggs County jail.
