One person is dead and another injured after an accident on I-475 South in Bibb County Friday night, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

The accident happened on I-475 Southbound between the Zebulon Road and Mercer University Drive exits, according to deputies.

Jones says 30-year-old Brent Burns from Indiana died from his injuries. He says that Burns' 29-year old wife Melissa is in critical condition after the accident. According to Jones, the couples two boys, Colton age 2 and Dylan age 5, are in stable condition.

Sergeant Sean DeFoe with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened around 8 p.m Friday night. He says an 18 wheeler jackknifed and trapped a car underneath. Defoe says the driver of the tractor trailer was 56-year-old John Daniels from McDonough, Georgia. He says Daniels was not injured.
