This week's My Teacher Is Tops Winner is Rhonda Davidson of Wheeler County Elementary School in Alamo, Ga.

Davidson teaches third grade and says it's her passion.  She says her language arts class is the best.

"I just thank God for each one of these children," Davidson said.

India Harris nominated Davidson for the award and says her teacher is great and has a smile that warms the classroom.

"She always wears a smile on her face and her smile reminds me of the sunshine, which is awesome," said Harris.

"When she smiles it just makes me smile too," Lela Wright said.

Davidson says she wants tries to teach her students morals.

"The value of their life is not based on how much money they make or what job they have.  The value of their life is who they become as a person," Davidson said.

Her students say she is always there to lend a helping hand when they don't understand the lessons.

"She's a very good teacher and she helps us when we have problems with reading," T.J. Gillis said.

"She works hard for us, so we can learn a lot for this year," said Dakota Connell.

Davidson says she wants her students to remember what she has taught them.

"I don't want them to walk away from third grade saying that was the worst year of my life, I wish I'd never had that year.  I want them to be able to say that was an amazing year," Davidson said.
