Hey people of Middle Georgia! Scene 13's got good news - it's almost the weekend. And here's even better news - it's Father's Day weekend. Wait, wait - ready for the greatest news of all? Your entertainment scene is crazy awesome!
Alright all you dads out there, grab your kids. Or kids, grab your dads. It's time to head out to the Museum of Arts and Sciences for a little action of the buggish variety. It's one of the biggest family days of the year at the museum - Bug Day! The creepy-crawlies get to come out for a day of meet-n-greet with the folks of Middle Georgia.
Now obviously the bugs get center stage this Saturday, but the Museum's other super-star animals wanted to get in on the action, too! So they got a little creative and (with a bit of human guidance) painted some serious pieces of art. Jackson Pollock, watch out! These little creatures have abstract down pat!
Then, after a full day of fun at Bug Day break out the lawn chairs and head to the grove for a little groovin'. The Air Force Reserve Jazz Band - Full Spectrum - along with the museum presents Groove in the Grove. Come out for an evening of music and indulge in peach ice cream from Dickie Farms and a bit of birthday cake to celebrate the Museum of Arts & Sciences 55th birthday!
Bugs, art and awesome music! Sounds like a great recipe for some Father's Day weekend fun. Get yourselves online to the Museum of Arts & Sciences for the info.
