Parents in China Sell Children to Pay Video-Gaming Bills

SANXIANG, China - Li Lin and Li Juan allegedly sold all three of their kids so they could pay their video gaming bill.

The couple reportedly sold their second child for $500. After selling their daughter, they sold their first born child - a boy - for 30,000 RMB (or about $4,600). Their third child went for $4,600 also.

The grandmother of the children turned in her son and her daughter-in-law for the alleged crimes. According to a Chinese newspaper, the parents did not know what they did was illegal.

The video-gaming bill was racked up at different Internet cafes. It is unknown at this time how much the couple owed the Internet cafes.
