More than 100 needy families can celebrate Christmas with all the trimming. It's all thanks to members of Thomaston Road Church of Christ and their Christmas care give away.
The group handed out toys, bags of food, turkey, and ham to be cooked for Christmas dinner. Santa Claus made an appearance to get some wish lists for the kids.
One church member says the event shows how much the congregation cares about their community.
"Were trying to show these people that we care about them a lot. "What we are doing tonight doesn't resolve that situation but it does show them that we care about them and let them know that over these holidays that somebody is thinking about them," said elder of the church, Tom Behel.
This is the third year the church held the giveaway. All the food and gifts were donations from the church.
