Have you ever wanted to send quick messages without having to send a text or call someone? There is an app that simplifies sending someone a message from your smartphone.
There are many apps available on the Android market that turn your phone into a push-to-talk walkie talkie, but no app seems to do it better than the free app, blip.me.
Blip.me has a simple interface, and it's easy to use. After downloading, installing, and opening the app, you are prompted to enter your name and confirm your phone number. After confirming your phone number, blip.me sends a verfication text to your phone that you use to activate the app. The short and painless registration process sends you on your way to using this handy voice message app.
Sending a voice message is as simple as holding down the "Hold & Speak" button. When you press the button, the screen shifts to an image of an antique microphone as you record your message. When you release the button, your message is stopped, saved, and sent to the recipient of your choice.
If you continue to exchange messages with the same person, blip.me keeps a small record of your conversation, with a look similar to the standard texting app. You can replay old messages sent to you and even replay your own messages to regain context of the conversation.
Blip.me also boasts the perks of being able to send voice messages internationally, though here at 13WMAZ we were unable to test that particular feature.
Want to have a group conversation with your contacts? blip.me makes that simple. All you have to do is highlight which contacts you want to send a message to, and it sends the message to all of them and continues to include them in the following messages, or you have the option of sending the replies to the message only to yourself.
Blip.me is available on both iOS and Android operating systems and works in tandem with both, so even if your contacts have a different type of phone, you can still send voice messages to them.
