JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities in Clayton County have seized more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $3 million.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/w8g8XH ) that the drugs, along with $282,000 in cash, were seized during raids Tuesday on a warehouse in Forest Park and a house in
Riverdale.
The sheriff's office says the bust was part of an ongoing investigation into Mexican drug traffickers in the county.
Authorities say investigators followed a van they suspected contained marijuana from the warehouse to a residence.
Authorities arrested 37-year-old Alejandro Lopez Frenandez of Jonesboro; 30-year-old Jesus Lopez Ochoa of Riverdale; 24-year-old Luis Apolinar Duran of Forest Park; and Marco Antonio Carmona Donis of Forest Park.
The men were charged with trafficking marijuana. It wasn't immediately clear whether they had lawyers.
