Two mothers of Bibb County public school students say they're going online to collect hundreds of "likes" about their dislike of Superintendent Roman Dallemand's strategic plan.

Dallemand calls it the Macon Miracle.

Bibb County mother of three, Jessica Neesmith, says it's anything but.

"I haven't seen anything in that plan that I agree with," Neesmith says.

Monday, she started a petition against Dallemand's strategic plan on a website called Change.org. Each signature sends a notification e-mail to the Bibb Board of Education.

Less than 24 hours later, 105 people signed up.

One of the comments reads, "The plans that are trying to be placed are ridiculous."

Fellow Bibb County mother Jessica Moss, used Facebook to spread the word.

She created a "Vote No to Macon Miracle" page.

"I've got 303 likes, and I added these up earlier and that's 33 comments, 263 comments," she says, scrolling through her Facebook page.

The big chat, she says, mostly focuses on closing the schools, cutting teaching jobs, and not including any safety measures in the plan.

"I'm not in disagreement with a plan, but I think this plan should be vetoed and reassessed," Moss says.

She calls the plan unrealistic and says the classrooms her kids are in are already overcrowded.

"My number one thing is safety for our children, you can't put but so many kids in a class per one teacher. The teacher needs to feel safe and the children need to feel safe," she says.

For both Moss and Neesmith, they hope to get enough online "likes" to hit the "X" for good, on the proposed plan.

The Bibb County School Board is scheduled to vote on the strategic plan Friday.

They also have a scheduled board meeting on Thursday, according to spokeswoman Stephanie Hartley. She said the agenda was still being drawn up and she could not say whether they'll vote on the plan.
