The Bibb County School Board has approved the district's budget for 2013. The budget passed with a 5 to 3 vote during Thursday night's meeting.
The issue surrounding the budget is an $8.2 million dollar deficit. $3.7 million is the same deficit the school district had last year. The remainder comes from the lack of revenue. The district is getting less money from state and local taxes.
