TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities have made a rare disclosure linked to the botched gun-smuggling investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious, revealing the identities of four men accused of involvement in the shooting death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent 18 months ago.

The information comes in the wake of pressure from U.S. House Republicans who led a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.

Authorities have repeatedly declined to divulge information related to Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's death in a December 2010 shootout.

The gunbattle near the U.S.-Mexico border revealed deep flaws in the government's weapons trafficking case.

Previously, only two men were named as suspects in the investigation into Terry's death.
