Police say a 31-year-old Macon man was shot on the 3400 block of Walker Street and  then drove himself to a gas station on Montpelier Avenue.

From there, Antonio Dillard was taken to a local hospital, according to a press release from Macon Police spokeswoman Melanie Hofmann.

Hofmann told 13WMAZ she didn't know exactly where Dillard was--whether in a home or in his car--when he was shot but that he drove himself to MM Food & Gas where he found more help.

He remains in stable condition.

The case is still under investigation.

Police urge anyone with information on this shooting to contact Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME or the Macon Police at 478-751-7500.
