Georgia Power says most of the people left in the dark after Thursday night's storms should have power again.
Pop-up storms around Central Georgia left more than two thousand homes in East Macon without power as of 10 p.m. Thursday.
According to Georgia Power media relations, most of the outages were in the area of Shurling Drive.
Staff report several snapped power lines in the area.
Flint EMC reported some outages as well. 642 of their customers were in Fort Valley, and 8 are in Warner Robins. Power has been restored to most of those customers.
Anyone needing to report a power outage to Georgia Power is asked to call 1-888-660-5890. Flint EMC customers can call 1-888-354-6836.
Viewers have shared pictures of downed trees and toppled yard fences in Bibb and Jones Counties, and structural damage at a gas station near Gray.
