Officials with Macon Mayor Robert Reichert's office says Cherry Street is now clean after a large amount of trash was left behind from Bragg Jam. Late Sunday afternoon debris could still be seen along the downtown road.

Chris Floore, the spokesman for Reichert, told us by text "Just drove down Cherry. Clean and trash cans are empty."

Floore said members of the administration will discuss the matter later today and that he believes they will identify ways to improve for next year. "In years past, the number of trash receptacles were adequate; with the turnout this year, it appears that number will need to be increased next year," Floore said.

The spokesman did not give an explanation as to why the street sweepers were not on the roads immediately following the Bragg Jam festivities.
