The city of Macon along with other agencies like Middle-Georgia Drug Task Force made bank with an auction of items seized this year.

According to Auction Coordinator Ben Roberts, all surplus and seized items were sold. He says over 400 bided at the lot off highway 49 and online Saturday morning.

The surplus auction started at 9 a.m. with more than 300 items up for auction. Some items included trucks campers, ATVs, classic cars, lawn equipment and much more.

"It's exciting to me. I have always loved auctions and sometimes you get beat and sometimes you get a deal," says Dick Lefholv of Gray. "It's just excitement getting out on a Saturday and doing something different for a change," says Wille Sapp.

Organizers say they hold auctions four times per year.
