Some newly licensed teens in Forsyth got a chance to see what it's like driving drunk and fly out of a vehicle as it rolls over - all a simulation of course.

With the help of specially made goggles, a cone course and some time in the classroom, officials with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Forsyth Police Department did their best to warn these teens of driving dangers.

It wasn't all scare tactics, the crew also showed the young drivers how to jack up a car and change a tire.

Some of the teens said they're glad they went because they learned a lot.

"Oh yeah, it was real different because when I first went at it, it seemed real wide but when I put them on, it seemed like they were jumbled all together and everything," says Hunter West.

"It helps your parents make you feel like they can trust with you to see that you can drive good and be better, like they can trust you more," says Cierra Morgan.

About 100 students attended the course. The instructors also taught basic vehicle maintenance, skid recovery and defensive techniques.
