Monday morning was a busy one for Macon Police as they investigated three overnight shootings.

Just before 2 a.m., officers were called to a home invasion at 1930 Oglesby Place, near the State Farmer's Market off Eisenhower Parkway.

Police caught 20-year-old Orlando Lavor Franklin exiting the rear window of the house with a gun in his hand, according to a Monday afternoon press release.

Franklin and another man went to the house to rob its residents, police say. When Franklin was arrested, officers found money in his pocket that belongs to the victim.

He has been charged with four counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Police are looking for information on the white male suspect and urge anyone with tips to call the MPD at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

Later in the morning, just after 4 a.m., a Macon man told police he was assaulted after exiting his car at Sherwood Arms Apartments at 3441 Bloomfield Drive.

A black male in a black mask and clothes fired at the victim, hitting him in the left leg, police say. The suspect fled the scene.

Moments later, officers made contact with a man who had been shot in the left buttocks. He told police he was on the 3400 block of Bloomfield Drive and walked up on an argument when shots were fired. He was struck while fleeing.

According to a press release, both victims remain hospitalized after undergoing surgery. The case remains under investigation.
