According to a release from police, some guys were playing cards behind the rental office at Green Meadows Apartments on Log Cabin Drive Sunday evening.
A man approached them and asked if he could join in the game, but they said no. A fight started, and police say the assailant pulled out a steak knife and cut one of the players, resulting in a five-inch shallow cut near the right knee.
The assailant ran off through a shortcut. The victim went home and called police but they were unable to find the assailant.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injury.
