A Fort Valley woman suspected of scamming several people out of money is now in custody.
Now the Bibb County Sheriff's Office is working with Houston County investigators to determine just how many people she may have stolen from.
Lt. Sean Defoe says right now the sheriff's office says Katina Hope Wright will face theft charges and possibly other charges.
He says the sheriff's office got calls from about 20 people Monday night after TV reports of the case.
DeFoe says they caught the woman around 11 p.m. last night.
Investigators say she approaches senior adults and says that she knows them from their doctor's office and needs money to fix her car.
The sheriff's office asks that anyone with information on the case to call Investigator Tania Greer at 478-621-5675.
