According to Chief Joel Gray, the Perry fire department responded to an apartment fire on Morningside Drive around 7 o'clock Sunday evening.

Gray says the fire started in the laundry room of a unit.  No one was home at the time of the fire and the fire didn't spread to any other units.

Chief Gray says the fire is contained and no one was hurt.
