The director of Mobile, Alabama's animal shelter is coming back to run Bibb Countys' troubled shelter.

Bibb County commissioners voted, 4-1, today to pick Sarah Tenon to run the Bibb shelter.  Tenon worked as a Bibb County animal control officer in 2008.

Chairman Sam Hart announced this afternoon that he was recommending Tenon.

Most of the board agreed with him. Commissioner Joe Allen voted no.

Tenon was one of two finalists for the job.

The other was Richard Rice, former vice president of the Atlanta Humane Society. 13WMAZ reported last month, however, that Rice left his last job after an investigation into the society's failure to report parvo cases to the state.
