This morning around 4, authorities say a costumed man robbed an adult store on Emery Highway in Macon.
Witnesses told Bibb County Sheriff's deputies that a man standing about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds entered the X-Mart wearing a black Halloween costume over his body and a bandanna over his face.
He produced a gun and demanded money from the clerks but no one was injured in the robbery. He took off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Sheriff's spokesman Sean DeFoe says the X-Mart has been robbed nine times since November 2008, making it one of the area's favorite targets for robbers. That number doesn't include an attempted robbery in April 2010.
The last robbery before this one was August 19.
2009: X-MART ROBBED FOR FIFTH TIME
13WMAZ's Judy Le talked to the clerks, but they wouldn't release the owners information. After a little research, she found out that he lives in Florida and owns several adult stores in that state. The owner did not pick up our phone calls.
DeFoe says the X-Mart is an easy robber's target because it is located on a desolate strip on the highway. He says has already stopped by to talk about security and prevention.
This robbery is under investigation. Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-746-9441 or Macon Regional Crime stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
