You could win a house. That's right. The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is back.

The giveaway hit a snag last spring, because of a lien on the original property.

The house is now being built on a different lot, in a different neighbohood, and the builder donated the new lot.

Construction of the Dream Home is now well under way.

Builder and owner of Custom Homes by Jeff, Jeff Liszewski, wants the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway to be a wild success.

He built the first Central Georgia Dream Home and came back for another.

Liszewski said, "Initially I did it, because it's the right thing to do. I've been fortunate in my business. I wanted to give back somehow to the community. Now that I've been to St. Jude Children's Hospital, there's a much bigger cause, and that's to help the children."

He is building the second Dream Home on a lot he owned and donated in the Savannah Square neighborhood. The development is in Houston County off Lake Joy Road, near Highway 96.

The home will be 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with a bonus room. It's two stories with, two porches and a designer kitchen, with custom cabinets and the latest technology.

It's about 3,250 square feet, and is valued at $350,000.

About 60 local businesses donated materials or labor, including Brent Palmer of Palmer Construction.

Palmer said, "Everybody knows somebody affected by childhood cancer. It's the right thing to do."

Mother of a childhood cancer survivor, Candy James, could not agree more.

James said, "It's because of St. Jude, we are grateful to God and St. Jude for sparing his life."

Buying a ticket for a chance to win the house could help save more lives, and soon it could be you, calling the house "home".

Tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home will go on sale after the first of the year. There will be 6,500 tickets available, at $100 a piece.

13WMAZ will keep you informed about ticket sale dates and prize giveaways. There will also be opportunities to take a tour of the home, before purchasing a ticket.

Liszewski says he is still looking for sponsors to donate money or supplies. so that there's no cost to St. Jude for the giveaway.
