Investigators are looking into a fire that damaged two rooms at a downtown Macon hotel.  The fire started around 8:30 p.m. Monday in a room on the fourth floor at the Riverview Hotel on Broadway.

All residents of the hotel were evacuated and nobody was hurt.  One resident, Matthew Felty, says he noticed a bedspread burning in the parking lot, looked up and saw smoke pouring from one of the rooms.  He and another man used the building's fire hose to fight the flames until firefighters arrived.

There's no word on the exact cause of the fire.
