Firefighters were on the scene of a gas station fire on Gray Highway at Shurling Drive early Wednesday morning.

Macon police say a blue Dodge Ram truck hydroplaned and hit a gas pump at the Lucky Food Mart, which burst into flames.

A truck belonging to the Macon Water Authority, which was already parked in the lot, caught fire after the Dodge Ram hit the gas pump and ignited a spark.

The driver of the Dodge truck said he lost control after pressing the gas pedal to turn on Gray Highway from a complete stop at the traffic light.

No one was hurt but investigators are exploring the situation to determine whether charges will be filed.

Police and Macon-Bibb firefighters responded to the fire within minutes of the blaze and extinguished the fire in less than 10 minutes.

Anyone with information on this accident is urged to call MPD at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.

A fire at the 7 and 7 station broke out just after 7:30 Wednesday morning.
