Houston County deputies are investigating a home invasion that happened Monday night in the 500 block of Dunbar Road. According to a news release, it all started with a suspicious vehicle call in the 100 block of Sullivan Road.
The homeowner told deputies that there was a car in his driveway. While he was looking at the car, the homeowner says four or five young men approached him. When he told them that he had called the Sheriff, the men got in the car and sped off.
While looking for the suspects' vehicle, deputies learned that a home invasion had just happened a few blocks away on Dunbar.
Investigators say five young men forced their way into the home of a woman and her three-year-old daughter. The victim told deputies that one of the robbers held a gun to her face and made her sit in the living room with her child while the others went through the house. She says that several minutes later they ran out of the back of the house.
Investigators say all of the suspects were young and wearing dark clothing. Theire car is described as a brown 1998 Buick Park Avenue. Anyone with information about the case can Sgt. Slate Simons at 478-542-2085 or 478-542-2080.
