Six people were arrested and more than 20 pounds of marijuana were seized in two separate raids in Bibb County Thursday.
According to the Bibb County sheriff's office, the first arrests came around 1:30 a.m. at the Super 8 Motel on Chambers Road.
They say that investigators searched two rooms and found 20 pounds of marijuana in two rooms. They said the marijuana had an estimated street value of $60,000.
Four people were arrested:
Elijah Powel III, 39, of Macon;
Touche Parker, 33, of Macon;
Octavioua Evette Young, 37, of Macon;
Jasper Davis, 20, of Atlanta.
All four were at the Bibb County jail, charged with marijuana trafficking. Parker is also charged with a probation violation.
Later Thursday, the SWAT team raided two homes 1140 and 1144 Boulevard, East Macon.
They found a pound and a half of marijuana, valued at $4,000, and a semi-automatic weapon.
Jackie Rouse, 33, of Macon, charged with marijuana possession with the intent to distribute, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony and probation violation;
and Reginald Emory, age 30, charged with marijuana possession with the intent to distribute, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony and violation of his suspended sentence.
Both men were being held in the Bibb County jail.
