Nearly 50 percent of children in the United States suffer from untreated tooth decay and other dental problems.
Dentists in the central Georgia area are teaming up for a national campaign called "Give Kids A Smile Day".
The event will take place Friday, February 1 at Middle Georgia Technical College, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
It will allow children from low-income families to receive free dental services. The services will range from screenings, to education and nutritional education treatment.
In order to participate, appointments must be made in advance.
