DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Two men who were recently convicted in the beating death of an 18-year-old man have been sentenced to life in prison without parole on malice murder charges.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/TzUvae ) reports Horace Coleman and Quantez Mallory - who were convicted Jan. 25 - were sentenced Monday in the death of Bobby Tillman. The man was jumped outside a house party in Douglas County in November of 2010. He was a freshman at Georgia Perimeter College.
Four men were involved in the assault and all of them have been sentenced to life in prison.
Douglas County Judge William McClain called the assault savage, brutal and random, and pointed out the men were wearing rosaries and crosses at the time of the attack.
Douglasville is about 25 miles west of Atlanta.
