Danny Glover says he wants to take on the District 3 seat in the Macon-Bibb consolidated government.
Glover, 25, is no stranger to the political ring. He chaired the Bibb County Democratic Party from January to May 2011 after losing the Macon City Council District 2 race to Tom Ellington.

During his campaign announcement Monday afternoon, Glover said he wants east Macon, where his grandfather was born and raised, to lead the way in economic development.
"We can continue to do more of the same and get the same fruitless results," he said. "Or we can take the road less traveled and embrace the opportunity to change east Macon. We can take on our problems head on my friends. I'm here to tell you that today. East Macon we can and we will do better."
Long-time Macon city council member Elaine Lucas announced last week she will run for the District 3 seat.
