Macon police have put a suspected carjacker behind bars.
Officers pulled over 22-year-old Deontae Markeem Coker Tuesday at the intersection of Second Street and Poplar Street in downtown Macon.
According to a police news release, officers were suspicious after they smelled marijuana inside the silver Saturn Coker was driving.
After running a fingerprint check, the responding officers identified Coker and found out he had a warrant out for a carjacking in January.
He's charged with armed robbery, giving a false name, driving with a suspended license and carjacking. Coker's bond is set at $1,950.
