Romain Dallemand was back on the job today -- possibly his last as Bibb County school superintendent.
Dallemand met with the district's principals at his Mulberry Street headquarters this morning, according to school district spokesperson Donald Porter.
That meeting came just a few hours after the county board of education voted to buy out Dallemand's contract for $350,000. The board voted, 7-1, to accept his resignation.
But Dallemand's departure becomes official when that money -- minus state and federal withholding tax -- is wired into his bank account.
That was supposed to happen within 24 hours of the Monday night vote.
Porter said Dallemand was not available for comment this morning and he didn't believe the superintendent would be granting any "exit interviews."
