Ocala, Florida (WTSP) -- Country music singer David Allan Coe and two other people were injured in an early morning car crash in Ocala.
According to Ocala Police, Coe drove his Chevy Suburban through a red light around 1:30 Tuesday morning. A semi-truck smashed into the SUV.
Coe's SUV was sent into a nearby parking lot, while the semi-truck overturned and crashed into a light pole.
Coe and the two occupants of the semi were taken to the hospital, but police say none of their injuries seemed to be life-threatening.
The intersection was partially reopened shortly after 10 a.m., as crews continue to work to safely remove the overturned semi and clean up spilled diesel fuel. It has since been completely reopen.
Coe, 73, rose to popularity in the 1970s and 80s with hits such as "Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile," "The Ride" and "Longhaired Redneck."
