A cadet with the Warner Robins police department was injured in a training accident when he shot himself in the leg at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Monroe County.
According to Allison Willis of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Michael Jaudon was attempting to reholster his .40 caliber glock when it accidentally discharged.
Willis said the bullet grazed Jaudon's leg and he was sent to a hospital in Macon.
Jaudon was taking a remedial firearms training course at the training center when the incident happened.
According to a news release, the wound is not considered life-threatening.
