A man was sentenced Monday to life for a murder this year.
23-year-old Justin Grable agreed to testify against 19-year-old Alexandria Scott who admitted to shooting and killing Kimberly McKenzie of Centerville in 2011.
McKenzie was found dead in South Bibb County in January.
The District Attorney's office says the death penalty is not an option for Grable because of his mental disability.
"There's a category of people that are ineligible for death and those are what we call people with mental retardation. We now call intellectual disability," says Burton Baker of Ga. Capital Defender.
