A Lizella couple is in the hospital Friday morning after the husband shot his wife and turned the gun on himself in what investigators are calling a "domestic dispute that turned violent."
According to a news release from the Bibb Sheriff's Office, around 11:32 Thursday night, 55-year-old Kenneth Burnam and his wife 48-year-old Diane Burnam of Lizella were involved in an argument.
During the dispute, Kenneth Burnam shot Diane Burnam then himself.
Both were transported by ambulance to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where the husband is listed in critical, but stable condition, and the wife is in stable condition.
The incident happened at the couple's home on Lineberger Road.
