Milledgeville police have arrested a man for a fatal shooting outside a rap concert early Saturday.
Major Reginald Hill of the Milledgeville Police says that 21-year-old Quintavious Horton has been arrested for the murder of Kenneth Simmons.
Hill says 22-year-old Simmons was shot outside the American Legion club at 430 West Martin Luther King Jr. Drive just before 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Baldwin County coroner John Gonzales says Simmons later died at the Oconee Regional Medical Center.
An autopsy today said Simmons died from a single gunshot to the chest.
Horton was charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a robbery.
Horton met with his parents and then turned himself in at the Oconee Regional Medical Center, Hill said.
Horton had been shot in his right leg, he said.
Hill says two women, Tashica Morgan and Shontay Brown, are also in custody related to the case on charges of making false statements and hindering the apprenhesion of a fugitive.
Hill also said the two women were in the vehicle with Horton at the time of the shooting.
Police also have a warrant for a third woman, Adrianna Steele, wanted on the same charges as the other two women.
Hill says Steele was originally interviewed as a witness before they connected her to the crime.
