Stray Pit Bull Tests Positive for Rabies in Houston Co.

The North Central health district says a positive case of rabies has been found in Houston County.

They're warning people in one Houston county neighborhood who may have been in contact with a stray pit bull who roamed the area.

They say brown and white dog was known to wander the neighborhood around Shamrock Circle off Dunbar Road.

The dog was picked up after it bit who was playing with it and then tested positive for rabies.

The health district says anyone who may have been bitten or come in contact with the dog's saliva should get checked out.
