Monster trucks are invading the Middle Georgia Speedway Thursday. That's because the Xtreme Monster Truck show will go on Friday and Saturday.
13WMAZ got a sneak peek of what audiences can expect from the monster truck drivers. And that's plenty of twist, turns and jumps.
"Once we put our helmets on, we turn into toddlers, so it's really just a lot of fun. We will get to go crazy and tear stuff up," said TJ Tripp of Daytona, Florida.
Tripp is the driver of the Ice Cream Monster truck. He says he feels like he has more freedom to do cool tricks at the Middle Georgia Speedway.
"It's a lot more fun, because here we can really let loose and actually have a lot of fun, inside the hockey arena and stuff like that. We actually have to be careful to not do building damage and stuff like that, but here we can pretty much just go for it," said Tripp.
Chris Jennings, the organizer of the show, says tickets are going fast, but there are still some available for the shows on Friday and Saturday.
He says they're excited for people to see some of the stunts that can only be pulled off at the speedway.
"You got a truck that's ten-foot high, you've got that weigh over 700 pounds and over 1400 horsepower in these trucks," said Jennings. "I mean, it is amazing. You know every time they start their engines, it is amazing to feel the ground rumble."
The shows are Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm and Saturday night at 7:00 pm.
The tickets range from $20 to $10. For more information go to http://www.xtrememonstermadness.com/ .
