Zephyrhills, Florida (WTSP) --The winner of a record $590.5 million Powerball jackpot has come forward.
The Florida Lottery will hold a 2 p.m. press conference to announce the winner. 10 News will stream the press conference live on wtsp.com.
The winning ticket was purchased last month from a Publix grocery store in Zephyrhills.
Within 60 days, the winner will have to decide whether to take 30 annual payments that would total the full $590.5 million, or receive one lump cash payment, which amounts to $370 million. According to Mike Purcell, the Tampa District Manager with the Florida Lottery, a 25 percent tax rate will also be taken from the $370 million.
The winning ticket is the biggest single-ticket payout in American lottery history.
